Banita Sandhu is a British actress and model who is best known for her work in Bollywood films and television commercials. The actress was born on June 22, 2021, in Wales, the United Kingdom to British Indian parents. Sandhu started her acting career at the age of 11 and has appeared in several television advertisements. Sandhu’s first advertisement for Vodafone India which was broadcast during the IPL season went viral in India. Later, Sandhu appeared in a Doublemint commercial which gained her recognition. The commercial featured a song titled ‘Ek Ajnabee Haseena Se,’ which was directed by Shoojit Sircar. Sandhu was appreciated by netizens for her role in the advertisement. The commercial crossed 40 million views on YouTube. In 2018, she made her Bollywood debut with ‘October’ opposite actor Varun Dhawan. The coming-of-age drama film was also directed by Sircar. Later she went on to appear in the American science fiction TV series ‘Pandora’ and also appeared in the 2019 Tamil movie ‘Adithya Varma.’ She will be next seen in the Bollywood biographical film ‘Sardar Udham Singh’ opposite Vicky Kaushal.
